Yes, there is a Suki. Japanese by birth, Suki began her career in Beverly Hills, studied with Vidal Sassoon in London, and in 1972 opened her first salon here in Vancouver. Suki quickly established a name for herself and the salon by creating a fashionable, avant-garde image for her company and its clients. The company has now grown from the original five-chair salon to four salons and the Suki’s Academy. The company now employs about 130 people.

Suki belongs to Intercoiffure, the industry’s most prestigious association and was previously named as the YWCA’s Woman of the Year.
